Finding Top Quality Spearfishing Videos

There are a lot of good Spearfishing video’s out there, but there are just as many poor ones too. I have found that when you go to YouTube you can find some great video’s by doing something very simple. This doesn’t always work, but usually you get the higher quality video’s of what every you are searching for. The trick is this: when you search for something, open up the advanced options tab and select ‘sort by view count’. What this does is sorts the results based on how many people have watched them.

Of course, this has potential flaws, but all in all people don’t sit there and watch junk. I have found when you look for a Spearfishing video on YouTube using this method you usually get great results. The top few that come up are of a professional free diver going down 36 metres, another compilation of old video’s shooting incredible sized fish, a 20kg amber jack and a New Zealander who shoots a 282 kilogram Bluefin tuna. That is one huge fish!

The best thing about these videos is that you can easily learn a lot from them. Learning how to swim correctly takes a lot of time, and it is one of the most important parts of spearfishing. The less efficiently you move underwater the more oxygen you use and then the less you can hold your breath. Other things that you can learn is the sort of Spearguns that are used, various other Spearfishing Gear and even more.

The important thing to remember is that a lot of the videos that are hosted online (especially those with a high view count) have been doing spearfishing for many years, and as a result have developed all of the right skills. Spearfishing without these skills is dangerous, and more than just a few people have lost their lives doing it. What I want you to get out of this is to take your time, do things safely and not in a rushed manner.

Happy Spearfishing
