For a right handed person, simply hold the end of the gun with your left hand, and take a rubber with the right hand. Pull the rubber up as much as you can, and then slide the gun from the left side of your torso into the middle, and then grab the rubber with both hands (on either side of the gun). Pull the rubber all the way back and hook it in carefully.

You can do this fairly quickly and easily even with the more powerful rubbers, and its controlled enough. It’s a good idea to keep your safety on when you are loading a speargun, and make sure that the spear is hooked in properly or it will fire straight way.
