If your company has anything to do with buying and selling, then you are probably familiar with a commercial invoice. When I refer to buying and selling, I am not exclusively talking about goods and products but also about services. A commercial invoice is the document that you are going to use to tell your clients what they need to know about a consignment they want to order. This same document is required when there is an audit or when you have to declare the revenue of the company.
For good reasons, this document should be a part of the company. It is expected that an established company already has an invoice. There is definitely a management problem if this document does not exist. It is also a great idea for upcoming companies joining the commercial world to have commercial invoices.
A commercial invoice is not something that can be jotted down carelessly. A haphazard looking invoice depicts the company as unreliable and untrustworthy. Instead the invoice should be well designed and written and must look impressive. Your company will need to use these documents frequently. That does not mean they have to be freshly done all the time. This will be very time consuming. To save time, every serious company should possess a commercial invoice template in their system.
Having a template makes writing invoices an effortless task. There is so much information that has to be included in the invoice. A large part of that can be included in the template. There will be less work, as only the information on the customer and his order is needed. This can just be filled in whenever an invoice is requested and in a few moments the customer will be having the invoice in his hands or in his inbox if it has been emailed.
